Pesto hummus is a lighter version of the classic hummus and thanks to fresh basil it also has a beautifully distinctive taste. It's great as a savoury snack, but also as an appetizer if you're expecting a visitor. Combined with crispy garlic tortilla chips, everyone will love this quick dip.

Ingredients
Pesto hummus
- 1/2 can of chickpeas
- 20 g basil
- 1 tablespoon tahini paste
- lime juice
- 1 or 2 ice cubes
- salt, pepper
- dried garlic
- spoonful of delicatessen yeast
Tortilla chips
- 2 larger tortillas
- a teaspoon of olive oil
- dried bear garlic (or other spices to taste)
Method
- Start by preparing the tortilla chips. Cut the tortilla into triangles, spray each with a little oil and sprinkle with spices. Bake them on baking paper either in the oven or in a hot air fryer.
- Then simply put the ingredients for the hummus pesto in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Put the hummus on the plate first, spread it all over, sprinkle it with herbs, nuts or seeds and add a few drops of oil.
Tips and tricks
○ Instead of chickpeas, you can also use white beans in the recipe, which will make the hummus beautifully tender. The dish is great not only as a snack or a quick snack for a visitor, but also as a side dish for meat or an ingredient in a nutritious bowl. If the consistency doesn't suit you, try adding or subtracting ice.
