Difficulty simple
Ingredients
- 2 larger apples
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- honey or maple syrup to sweeten
- 50 g oatmeal (Mixit)
- 30 g chopped pecans
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter (melted)
For serving:
- white yoghurt or cottage cheese
- peanut topping from Mixit
- optionally a little honey or syrup on top
Method
- Halve the apples and carefully scoop out the cores with a spoon to make room for the fragrant filling.
- Spread them in a baking dish, sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with honey or maple syrup.
- In a bowl, mix together the oats, chopped pecans, melted coconut oil or butter, honey and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle the mixture over the prepared apples.
- Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the apples are soft and the crumble is golden.
- Serve ideally still warm with yoghurt or cottage cheese and top with Mixit's peanut topping.
Tips and tricks
- If you want to warm up the dessert even more, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or ginger to the filling.
- You can also choose a different type of fruit - in autumn, plums or plums are suitable, and in summer, nectarines and peaches.
